NABET has been my home for over 12 years, and I’ve always been proud to be a NABET member. The culture we’ve nurtured as a collaborative, hardworking, and compassionate union defines us, and sets us apart. It has been my great honour to have served as your Senior Vice-President, and I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity to step fully into the role of President now. Thank you for showing up to vote, we had record turnout and I am unbelievably proud of how far we've come together.
As President I plan to:
Get members working again by re-establishing NABET as an in-demand technicians’ union.
Ensure long-term financial stability with a responsible, balanced approach to operations.
Bring us back together and return NABET to a community of collaboration and solidarity.
It'll be a fast paced year as we turn over a new leaf and make up for lost time and I hope to see you at our general meetings on March 22, June 14, September 27 and December 13.
In Solidarity,
Sam
